WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN I VISIT FOR THE FIRST TIME?

If you are visiting for the first time, we will not embarrass you, have you stand up, or ask you to give money. We know that many people want to check out the church and “be anonymous” for awhile—and that’s fine with us! Come in, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, and see if this is the church for you.

WHAT DO I WEAR TO ATTEND YOUR SERVICES?

You’ll find everything from casual clothes to business suits at our Weekend Services. Come in what is comfortable for you, because Assurance is not about what you look like or what you wear.

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

Assurance has multiple locations in the Northlake/Huntersville area. For more information, visit the campus page.

DO YOU HAVE A MIDWEEK SERVICE?

We have a community meal, or On the Way Service, and break into small groups during certain times of the year on Wednesday nights.

WHAT ABOUT MY CHILDREN?

At Assurance your children are a top priority. Our nurseries are clean, safe, and staffed with loving workers who are trained and certified through the Safe Sanctuaries UMC program. We offer a dynamic children's ministry as well as a life-changing ministry to students from elementary school through high school.

HOW CAN I MEET OTHERS AND GET CONNECTED?

There are so many ways to get involved. You can begin by attending our Starting Point Class. Small groups are another great way to connect. In each of these, you can build friendships, learn more about the life of our church, and have the opportunity to grow in your faith. We also offer many service opportunities throughout the year and often find the best friendships are made when you're giving back to the community together. (Email info@assuranceumc.org to learn more about Starting Point.)

HOW CAN I BE DISCIPLED AND GROW?

Our desire is to see you become a fully-devoted follower of Christ. The best way to strengthen your relationship with Christ is to get involved with our Disciple I and Disciple 2 small groups. There are also small groups that vary from topical to communal.

WHY DO YOU HAVE SMALL GROUPS?

Small groups are an important part of Assurance United Methodist Church; in fact, you haven’t fully experienced the church until you’ve experienced our small groups. The United Methodist Church was founded on the idea of small groups, that did life together by growing in the word of God, praying together, and doing life together. Groups allow you to meet other members and develop relationships that will spur your relationship with God. Groups are available for all ages and interests—there’s bound to be one that’s just right for you. Find a group to visit by subscribing to our eNews letter below where new small group meetings are announced weekly.

HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED IN A SMALL GROUP?

One of the easiest things to do at Assurance United Methodist Church is to participate in a small group. Groups meet throughout North Charlotte and provide a place for Bible study, fellowship, and support. Subscribe to our eNews letter below and visit a group this week.

If you have any more questions along the way feel free to email info@assuranceumc.org.
