WHAT ARE YOUR WEEKEND SERVICES LIKE?
Each weekend at Assurance you’ll find a variety of worship types, all are held in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Some with reflective style music, some with contemporary music, and some with choir and orchestra. All include a practical, inspiring, and relevant message. We invite all newcomers to visit the Welcome Area after worship to receive a gift and have the opportunity to chat with others.
WHAT DO I WEAR TO ATTEND YOUR SERVICES?
You’ll find everything from casual clothes to business suits at our Weekend Services. Come in what is comfortable for you, because Assurance is not about what you look like or what you wear.
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
Assurance has multiple locations in the Charlotte/Huntersville area. For more information, visit the campuses page.
DO YOU HAVE A MID-WEEK SERVICE?
During the Fall and Spring, we have a community meal called On The Way on Wednesday nights. Following the meal there are many opportunities for adult small groups, as well as youth and children's programming. Assurance is currently in the prayer, planning, and design phase of offering a full worship experience on a weekday evening.
WHAT ABOUT MY CHILDREN?
At Assurance your children are a top priority. Our nurseries are clean, safe, and staffed with loving workers who are trained and certified through the Safe Sanctuary UMC program. We offer a dynamic children's ministry as well as life-changing ministry to students from elementary school through high school.
HOW CAN I MEET OTHERS AND GET CONNECTED?
There are so many ways to get involved. You can begin by attending our Starting Point Class. Small groups are another great way to connect. In each of these, you can build friendships, learn more about the life of our church, and have the opportunity to grow in your faith. We also offer many service opportunities through out the year and often find the best friendships are made when you're giving back to the community together.
HOW CAN I BE DISCIPLED AND GROW?
Our desire is to see you become a fully-devoted follower of Christ. The best way to strengthen your relationship with Christ is to attend worship regularly and get involved with a small group such as our Disciple I and Disciple 2 small groups. There are also small groups that vary from topical to communal.
WHY DO YOU HAVE SMALL GROUPS?
Small groups are an important part of Assurance; in fact, you haven’t fully experienced the church until you’ve experienced our small groups. The United Methodist Church was founded on the idea of small groups, that did life together by growing in the word of God, praying together, and doing life together. Groups allow you to meet other members and develop relationships that will spur on your relationship with God. Groups are available for all ages and interests—there’s bound to be one that’s just right for you. Learn more about why we’re big on small groups, or find a group to visit in our group directory.
HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED IN A SMALL GROUP?
One of the easiest things to do at Assurance is to participate in a small group. Groups meet throughout North Charlotte and provide a place for Bible study, fellowship, and support. Check out our Group Directory and visit a group this week.
