Reflection Questions

1.   What are some of the hardest challenges that life has thrown at you? Have you overcome some of these challenges? If yes, how? If no, what is holding you back?

2.   Read Romans 8:31-39. How has Christ been a comfort for you in difficult times? How has the presence of Christ helped you get through some of those difficult times?

3.   Read 2 Corinthians 10:3-5. How can the battles in our own minds keep us from overcoming the challenges that will inevitably come our way? How does our faith in Christ change our perspective in difficult situations? How does it change our outlook on life and help us become an overcomer?

4.   Can God produce something good out of something that started as bad? How? Has God done this in your life?

Going Further

Scripture is one of the most powerful tools we have to help us become an overcomer. Read the following passages from the Bible this week: 2 Corinthians 4:7-9, John 16:33, 1 John 4:4, 1 John 5:4-5, Matthew 11:28, 1 Corinthians 15:57, Ephesians 6:10-17, 2 Thessalonians 3:3, 1 Peter 5:8-10, and Revelation 3:21. After reading all of them, what passage speaks to you the most and why? How does this passage inspire you to trust that you are an overcomer in Christ?
