The Storyteller: The Littlest of Thingsf

Matthew 13:31-33; Matthew 17:20

Reflection Questions

1.   Read Matthew 13:31-32. How has God worked in your life in small ways? How have those small ways led to large impacts down the road?

2.   How do the small things of faith that YOU plant now have an impact on your life later? How do they have an impact beyond your life? Who do they impact beyond your life?

3.   Bill Gates once said, “Most people overestimate what they can do in one year and underestimate what they can do in ten years.” How does this quotation speak to the parable of the Mustard Seed? How does it speak to your own life and faith journey?

4.   Read Matthew 13:33. Like the yeast changing the taste and texture of the flour, how does God’s presence in our lives change us? How does it make us more dynamic and transformative?

Going Further

Read Matthew 17:20. What do you think of this statement by Jesus? How can we understand this practically without losing the powerful impact of the statement? In what areas of your life do you need to have a "mustard seed faith" right now?
