Thank God

Philippians 1:3-11 NRSV

Reflection Questions

1.      What are the things in your life that give you joy?

2.      In his letter to the Philippians, Paul is writing to the people of Philippi as those who support him physically, emotionally, and spiritually in his faith. Who are the people in your life that you feel God especially uses to support you in your faith? If you do not have those persons, what are some avenues you could explore to help build those relationships?

3.      What are some personal steps you can take to build a sense of gratitude for God and the people in your life?  What are ways you can show it?

4.      In the Message paraphrase of the passage from Philippians verse 9 reads, “so this is my prayer: that your love will flourish and that you will not only love much but well.” What do you think the distinction is between loving much and loving well? What are the places in your life where you can not only love much, but also grow in loving well?
