This sermon will close out the series by focusing on the importance of investing in positive surroundings. This could be people, places, situations, etc. While we are supposed to spend some of our time getting to know and reaching those who may be living in a negative way (for the sake of Jesus and our faith), if we allow ourselves to never invest in positive surroundings we find that we then become a product of our surroundings in a negative way. Yes, Jesus associated and loved “sinners”, as should we, but we also must realize that we must be the positive influence on those people…and we must heavily invest in positive surroundings because we are influenced by our surroundings, and those positive surroundings have a lasting impact on our outlook and our life….and once again, our ability to be a proper witness for our faith.
