Reflection Questions

1.    Why is it often difficult to talk about money? In particular, why is it especially difficult to talk about faith and money?

2.    If someone was to look at your checkbook, what could they tell about you based on what you spend money on? Do your spending habits match your core values?

3.    In order to be truly Christ-like, we must be givers. Even though God created us in His own image to be givers, why is it often difficult for us to give?

4.    Read Matthew 6:19-20: What does it mean to you to store up treasures in heaven (as opposed to earth)? How is this related to the giving of resources?

Look at the “Step-Up Giving Chart” inserted in the bulletin. Prayerfully reflect on whether or not you believe God is calling you to take a step-up of one percent for 2017.
