John 20:24-29; Hebrews 11:1
1. In John 20, Thomas has both his famous doubting and encounter with the resurrected Christ. What do you make of Jesus’ statement to Thomas in verse 29 when he says, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed”? How are those who have “not seen” and yet they believe “blessed”?
2. What does it mean to you to say that the beauty of faith is better illustrated than explained? Do you agree or disagree with this statement?
3. Read Hebrews 11:1 – How important are the concepts of hope and assurance to us “seeing” the evidences of God all around us?
