This year's final retreat is going to be held in a surprise location. We will be staying in a cottage at a retreat center. I will send out a packing list closer to time.
Cost of the retreat will be $80 and will include breakfast and lunch on Saturday. You will need money for a fast food dinner on Friday night. If there is a financial need, please let me know!
This is our final session before the confirmation dinner and service, so please do everything you can to be in attendance. We are inviting mentors too so feel free to let them know you hope they will come.
We will meet at the church at 5:30 PM on Friday, October 18 and will return home around 3:00 on Saturday, Oct. 19th.
This opportunity is especially designed for those students who want to dive deeper into the understanding of what it means to be called "Christian." These students will also be a part of a covenant community who are committed to study what it means to be called a "United Methodist." Students completing this 11-month program will discern their commitment to God and His church through this confirmation experience. Midway through the journey, all students will be assigned to an adult mentor. This adult servant is a key support to help the student grow in their faith and discern their call to be a Christian, and a United Methodist. Students must be in 7th grade, or older, to participate. If you have any questions, please contact Pastor Lonnie Pittman or Toni Stallings.
