The Micah's Backpack ministry provides meals and snacks for children in our area during the school year, who would otherwise be hungry during the weekends. We are currently serving 20 children at our faith partner schools.
The Micah's Backpack Team thanks everyone who supported this ministry by giving donations, and volunteering! A special shout out to
Food Lion, Lowes Foods, the VBS community, UMW Circles, Soul Searchers, Friendship Class, choir, many life groups, and the Vineyard/Bunch. With your help, we provided approximately 4,000 meals during the 2017-18 school year.
Each week we deliver backpacks to our Faith Partner Schools (Long Creek and Allenbrook Elementary Schools).
We are currently in urgent need of
chicken, tuna, canned or pouches
Microwaveable Macaroni and Cheese cups/EZ Mac pouches
Chicken or tuna lunch kits
Chefboyardee microwavable Ravioli/pasta
Beans and Weiners
Please consider donating any of these items and place them in the Micah's Backpack basket in the Welcome Center at Northlake Campus.
